Late Victorian / Boer War Period Army Book 123 (List Of Quarters For Billeting Troops)

A scarce accounts book as used by billeting officer's working within the UK and in conjunction with Colonial & Dominion authorities overseas to secure housing for troops.

The 54 page book is divided into three sections, the first section is for monthly accounts to record debts & credit etc, the mid-section (only 6 pages) are totally blank for making notes and the third section for 'List of Quarters' listing where men and their horses were billeted many being public houses/inns.

There are no handwritten entries, some pages have been removed but period done by the looks, the small catch does fall open easily due to removal of some pages.

The top edge of the 7 1/2 inch x 5 inch book has a pencil sheath which remains supple, there's numerous scuffs to front cover along with some edge wear. please study the images in regards to condition.

This was found amongst other items mainly from the 2nd Boer war of 1899 - 1902.
