WW2 New Zealand Issue Water Bottle

A New Zealand made cobalt blue enamelled MkVII water bottle with its original felt cover and wooden stopper.

The bottle with its removable cover (left as found and undisturbed) still retains its original makers card located in the base for the 'NEECO' company of Wellington New Zealand (National Electric & Engineering Company Limited), the stopper is attached to a wire loop located at back of the neck which is another indication of N.Z manufacture.

The skeleton type webbing harness is in excellent condition and bears a 'C.P.Ltd 1944' ink stamp (Caoutchouc Products Ltd) along with a broad arrow mark.

The felt cover has suffered from insect infestation and has numerous holes present, most common on these N.Z bottle covers, the odd blemish/stain present and some light edge wear.
