Scarce 1945 Dated Hong Kong News Sheets & Rare Imperial Japanese Forces Controlled ''Hong Kong News''

Scarce daily printed double-sided news sheets covering the surrender and transition of control of Imperial Japanese Forces in Hong Kong during late August - early September 1945 period.

The British Royal Navy sailed back into the British Crown colony on the 30th of August but the official handover was not until 16th September 1945.

Several of the printed in English news sheets are ''The South China Morning Post & Hong Kong Telegraph'' dated 31st Aug,1,3,4,6 and 7th of September but also amongst this group is a rare 16th of August dated ''Hong Kong News'' news sheet again printed in English but under strict censorship by Imperial Japanese Forces.

These rare survivors are now delicate and handled with care, all the sheets show different levels of wear, discolouration, with rips and tears present and the odd piece missing, when originally printed it was on low grade paper, please study the images in regards to condition.

Discovered in a large house clearance in West Wales, fresh to the market.
