WW2 U.S Army Infantry Garrison Cap Dated March 1944

An excellent condition size 7 1/8 O.D coloured garrison cap manufactured by ''American Cap Mfg.co.inc'' and dated 18th March 1944.

The overseas/winter cap retains the earlier rounded top profile and is fitted with the thicker gauge light blue (denoting infantry) piping, this thicker piping is thought to be German made and commonly found /seen being worn by U.S troops towards the end of 1945 within occupied Germany.
