Georgian Royal Fusiliers Sterling Silver Salt/Condiment Spoon 1829

High quality solid silver salt/condiment dress spoon with an engraved device for the 'Royal Fusiliers' (City of London Regiment).

The 4 1/4 inch (10.8cm) long spoon bears the hallmarks for top London silversmith William Chawner and letter dates the spoon to 1829, the finely engraved device is a rose head within a crowned garter, the wording 'Royal Fusiliers' can be found inside the circlet, difficult to read as finely done and slightly rubbed.

Wonderful little item and considering its age not over polished/rubbed, light wear.
