WW1 Turkish Ottoman M1909 Other Rank's Belt Buckle With Leather Tab

A WW1 Turkish M1909 O/R's belt buckle (2nd type) with its original leather tab.

The German-made brass buckle with nickel centre is in very good service used condition, there is some over polishing/rubbing to the Arabic script on the cresent moon and also to the rope style edging.

These buckles are seldom found still with their tabs and this example is in good order, not dried out or treated, non-maker marked as all are.

The stitching is also in good order, lightly worn/rubbed on the face side due to the leather belt rubbing against it, on the reverse as good as the day it was made, one small cut present but this may have been there from time of manufacture as only through one skin, bears no impact to tab.

Nice service worn buckle.
