WW2 RAF Officer's Side Cap (Cairo Maker)

A fresh to the market theatre made RAF officer's side cap, made to a high standard by an Indian tailor working out of Cairo, Egypt.
The cap is in good service used condition with no moth damage, the two small brass buttons are original to the cap along with the brass eagle & crown cap badge which appears to be a locally made sand cast variant.
One lug has broken off but is still present and attached to the liner, so could easily be repaired.
The cap is an approx. size 7 and may benefit from a light hand wash as slightly grubby from being worn in the tropics & decades of storage, left as found.
Nice untouched side cap from the Middle East theatre of operations.
