WW1 British & Commonwealth Troops 'Ironsides Patent' Wire Cutters & Pouch

A pair of WW1 private purchase 'Ironside patent' wire cutters still housed in their original leather pouch.
This pattern was first patented in 1902 and a commercially sold item but in 1914 much numbers of these were acquired by the military for the B.E.F but were still available for private purchase (officer's)
This pair of eight inch long wire cutters are in well used condition with light surface pitting in places, the leather pouch has seen much use with numerous splits & cracks present and weakness in areas but all stitching remains intact, still has its original brass/bronze stud.
