WW1 1916 Dated British Issue Folding Trench Lantern & Storage Case

A wonderful condition and now scarce British issue heavy weight folding trench lantern which is still housed in its original storage/carrying tin, the small oval brass plaques bear the manufacturers name 'Parkinson and W&B Cowan, Birmingham' along with the date 1916, all fittings such as the hinges, locking slide bolts, carrying handle and candle holder are in good working order, all glass panels are present.
The storage tin is also in good condition with only very light surface pepper rust present, the often missing leather strap handle is present but unattached to one side, could be easily rectified but left as found, some age related surface cracks to leather but remains firm .
Best example that I have encountered in many years.
