Rare Early RAF North West Frontier 'Fug Boots'
Incredibly rare RAF 'Indian pattern' Fug boots as worn by aircrew flying/patrolling the North West Frontier of India during the 1920's and early 30's.
The quilted high legged boots were recently discovered within a trunk during a large house clearance, they laid undisturbed for decades.
The woven, quilted uppers do have small areas of moth damage which is shown in the images, the leather shoe sections and thin retaining straps have hardened over time, these straps are now delicate , one of the shoes does have some split stitching, again shown in images, the small buckles have ceased due to rusting, left as found.
Even with age related wear and tear they remain an incredibly rare pair of boots and would make a fantastic display item and great conversation piece.
This rare pattern of RAF boot can command £1200+ even with light faults & repairs, this pair is priced accordingly.
Please study the images & additional images as they are part of the condition report.
