1940 Air Ministry / RAF Petroleum Tin Can

A recently discovered 1940 dated Air Ministry issue petroleum tin can that was still being used to transport fuel, the underside of the can bears the company name of Valor, there is some superficial surface rust present along with a few light indentations (one larger on corner) but remains very presentable, no holes (water tested), the red paint finish appears to be the only applied coat but uncertain if original wartime or a later application.
Please study images in regards to condition.
Now becoming quite difficult to source.
