WW2 RAF OPS Room Candlestick Microphone

An Air ministry candlestick microphone being the type used in operations rooms and control towers, this example retains a good condition Bakelite head/mouthpiece and still has its original wire flex.
There is some blistering to the paintwork on the topside of the base and also evidence of some touching up to that area.
I was informed that this item originally came from an airfield base in North Wales.
