WW2 British Desert Camouflaged MK2 Helmet

An early war sand textured camouflage helmet made by 'RO & Co Ltd' (Rubery Owen & Co Ltd of Leeds) in 1939 which is stamped to the underside of the rim.

The external sand textured paint finish has a 'used' look with some small patches of surface rust, but what makes this more interesting is a small letter 'K' painted to the front and rear. The internal paintwork is the original smooth factory finish which is in very good condition.

The liner is made by 'TTC' which is stamped with a size 6 3/4 along with a 1939 date. Web chin strap has one of it's four web springs broken/disconnected but does not alter the appearance of this great looking item.
